8. Can I settle my loan early?
After the first 14 days you can settle your account at any time by writing to us or calling us to request a settlement figure. You must give us 28 days notice of your intention to settle early. We will then send you a statement which sets out the amount you need to repay to settle your loan in 28 days time. Your settlement figure will be the balance on your account including the interest up to your settlement date plus an additional 30 days interest. Due to the interest rate being quite high most of the interest is charged at the beginning of your loan and the settlement figure may not reduce much in the earlier stages of your loan. You may also pay lump sums off your balance and a proportate rebate of interest will be applied in line with any lump sums you pay off. If the account had not been paid on time, the balance on the account would be higher and there may have been extra costs to cover arrears, collection fees and default interest.
